Dupuy, others join SCAD staff

The Savannah College of Art and Design announces the appointment of Edward J. Dupuy as dean of graduate studies. Dupuy joins SCAD from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mt., where he served as provost and academic vice president. At SCAD, Dupuy will oversee the graduate academic advisement department and help schools manage curriculum issues. Dupuy reports to newly named chief academic officer Tom Fischer and oversees matters related to a positive graduate student experience.

The president’s office has also announced two hires. Kimberly Silvis and Daniel Schenk were named assistants to the president, with Silvis focusing on travel itineraries and Schenk responsible for VIP tours.

Elsewhere, Emily Abrams Stevens was named coordinator of the Master of Arts in Teaching program, Rose Ibama was promoted to assistant facilities manager, Michael Clark was named Help Desk manager, and Jose Garcia is SCAD’s new resident director for Weston House.

At SCAD-Atlanta, the communications department welcomes Emily Gourgues as manager of media relations. Gourgues assumes the duties of Nicole Teigen, who was recently named media producer.
