SCAD debuts new Web site Aug. 10
Published: Friday, August 5, 2005 The Savannah College of Art and Design Web site, www.scad.edu, will debut its new look, dynamic features and updated content Aug. 8. In addition to all the information contained in the 2005-06 admission catalog, the new Web site will include a content management system, enhanced navigation, admission videos, student work videos and larger student work galleries.
“It was brought to the public by the dedicated, hard-working, caffeine-addicted employees of the Satellite department, who sacrificed their personal lives to produce this amazing creation in a stunningly short amount of time,” said Kristine Stevens, Web content producer. Led by Webmaster Terri Foote, the Web design team includes Stevens, Assistant Web Project Manager James Stowe, Web Project Manager Shabnam Baggett, Senior Designer Dawn Tarter, Interactive Media Designer John Collenberger, Web Developer Joseph Corr and Web Programmer Brandon Ashworth.
The admission catalog itself represents months of hard work by Mark Rand, art director, and Director of Admission Communications Betsey Brairton. Vice President for Recruitment and Communications Pamela Rhame, architectural history professor Jeffrey Eley, Vice President for Academic Services Andy Fulp, Senior Publications Editor Christina Spitz, alumna Heidi Halabuda, Production Manager George Collazo, Photography Manager John McKinnon, and staff photographers Freddie Bennett, Ben Dashwood, Wayne C. Moore and Charlie Ribbens also made extensive contributions to the production of the catalog.
Over the next few weeks, the admission catalog will be mailed to all prospective SCAD students and current off-campus students. Current on-campus students will receive a copy in their mailboxes. SCAD faculty and staff will receive the catalog via interoffice mail. |
