The producers were in town to shoot promos for the show in various locations around the city. Megan Tobin and Katie Fealtman of the Savannah College of Art and Design women’s rowing team prepare a magnolia tree for planting at the entrance of the new Sally Pearce Nature Trail on Tybee Island April 23. The men’s and women’s rowing teams logged a total of 215 service hours for two days of work: April 2 and April 23. They planted a variety of trees to restore 200 feet of trail with indigenous species and erected a boundary rail on the nature trail. “The preservation and expansion of this small and rare tract of maritime forest on Tybee Island will be an asset to residents and visitors alike,” said assistant rowing coach and painting professor Steve Knudsen. The team will be recognized for their efforts at the Tybee City Council meeting in May.
