Equestrian program wins SCAD horse
show
The Savannah College of Art and Design equestrian program picked up its second victory of the season as they won the SCAD Intercollegiate Horse Show Nov. 23 at the SCAD Equestrian Center. The Bees won the 10-team field by eight points over the College of Charleston and Georgia Southern University. SCAD leads the season-to-date team standings in the region by 24 points over the College of Charleston and Georgia Southern. SCADs Jordan Siegel was named the High Point Rider of the show while teammate Ashley Kelly was the Reserve High Point Rider. Siegel, Kelly, Karen Carter and Katelyn Chitwood each were winners of a classification for SCAD. Lindsey Fisher, Hattie Saltonstall, Thea Lassen and Haley Hall each finished second in a classification for the Bees. SCAD also competed at the College of Charleston Intercollegiate Horse Show Nov. 22 and finished third. Siegel was named the Reserve High Point Rider of the show. Siegel, Jessie Lambert, Rissy Fiora, and Lassen each won a classification for the Bees. SCAD returns to action Jan. 24-25 at the University of Florida Intercollegiate Horse Shows in Gainesville, Fla.
