  Intramural teams complete round one

By Jennifer Levo

Days are getting longer, classes are getting harder, and some intramural basketball teams are getting some additional time to get homework done. SCAD intramural basketball teams began their two-week-long tournament Feb. 22, sending half the teams back home and half on to the second round.

Even though some scores don’t reflect the sweat spilled on the courts, each game had some very exciting and tense moments as players tried to keep their records intact and their team in play. Results from the second round of games Feb. 25 were not available at press time, but will be listed in the March 5 issue of The Chronicle. The semifinals and finals will be held Feb. 29 at St. Paul’s Activity Center.

In other intramural action, the SCAD indoor soccer team ended the season in first place with a 6-2 record. Speaking of soccer, it’s never to early to start picking teams for spring season intramurals which will feature soccer and softball. Roster forms soon will be available online.
