  Intramural action heats up

By Jennifer K. Levo

The new quarter brings a new quarter of intramural action and two sports with full intensity, action and warmth in the St. Paul’s Activity Center: volleyball and basketball.

Jan. 24 featured the first match-ups for volleyball as Team Buckley defeated Archidork in two sets: 15-8 and 15-2. In the second match, Team Bach evenly beat Team Penn in two sets: 15-8 and 15-8.

Jan. 25 featured the first batch of intramural basketball when Heavy-Dee laid down the law with a 82-37 defeat of LMF. The second game was an easy uncontested win for the Squad against Team Odom. Finally, the Real Old School shook out the cobwebs with a decisive win over VA;DC;SC;GA;PA.

More games will continue at St. Paul’s throughout the quarter with volleyball on Monday nights at 9 p.m. and basketball on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. and Sunday afternoons.

It’s not too late to sign up for a team. Free agents will be accepted through Feb. 1. E-mail jlevo@scad.edu.

Levo is the assistant coordinator of intramurals and fitness centers manager.
