SCAD offers free parking permits; enforces regulations

Senior film and television student Joey Lopez enters his car at the Weston House/Dyson House complex with his parking permit clearly displayed. Walt Rhame, director of transportation and parking services, said his department started towing and ticketing cars parked in SCAD lots without the stickers Sept. 22.

“Students need to take the time to read the new regulations. That would help them so much,” he said.

Regulations are posted on the SCAD Web site at www.scad.edu/transportation and also in the SCAD student handbook.

Students can register vehicles and pick up permits at the office of transportation and parking services on Lathrop Avenue, the Propes Hall SCAD card center or the Turner House express office.
