SCAD prepares for 25th anniversary
Savannah College of Art and Design will celebrate its 25th anniversary in October 2003. In preparation for the event, President Paula Wallace has appointed Susie Clinard, vice president for human resources, and Pam Poetter, vice president for admission and communications, as chairs of the 25th anniversary committee. Clinard and Poetter invite all interested faculty and staff to submit their suggestions of how the college can commemorate this special occasion to sclinard@scad.edu or ppoetter@scad.edu.

SCAD offers free services with Hook Towing
Need a jump start? Locked your keys in the car? SCAD transportation and parking services and Hook Towing are now offering students, faculty and staff free lock-out and jump-start services within the downtown area. In the event of a breakdown, Hook Towing is also offering half price towing to the garage of your choice. For more information, or to request lock-out service or a jump start, call Hook Towing at 232-0541.

Keep track of keys
Faculty and staff should make sure to keep campus keys in a safe place. As a rule, all building keys issued to any individual should be kept with the individual at all times. This minimizes the theft of keys and the potential problems that may arise if those keys fall into the wrong hands. Beyond having to replace the key, lost or stolen keys often means the changing of locks, and return and reissue of keys to many others which results in lost time and money. For more information, call the office of physical resources at 525-5080.

Work needed for upcoming exhibitions

Submissions also are being accepted for an exhibition opening March 28 in Red Gallery. “Kaleidoscopes: Juxtaposing Views from the Material and Immaterial Worlds” will feature work in various media that explore literal and abstract interpretations of views and scenery both real and imagined.
